Alumni Keith J. came to Mariners Inn over ten years ago after a long bout with addiction. He participated in and completed the Residential and Transitional Housing Programs, found employment and moved into his own apartment. As a client, Keith took the recovery process very seriously -reading the literature, attending meetings and following suggestions from NA and AA programs. Keith began attending Wayne County Community College District; he was then hired at Mariners Inn as a shift monitor which lasted about two years. Following his employment stint at Mariners Inn, he found employment that offered the type of benefits that
he needed on a long-term basis. Keith has maintained his sobriety despite his legal and relationship problems by continuing to participate in the recovery program. He still attends meetings and is committed to doing service work. He returns to Mariners Inn frequently and attends the Alumni meeting whenever possible.
